I'm a Mom in Training and a Grown up in Progress. I'm a hot mess 6 out of 7 days a week. I constantly stop to make sure I didn't forget a kid somewhere, always leave something out for the dog to destroy, usually misplace my keys, cell phone, hair brush, and remote every 30 minutes or so and never remember to refill the diaper bag. I struggle on a daily basis with the fact that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Join me while I learn how being a grown up doesn't mean you actual have to grow up.

How to craft your pants off

This page is my attempt to be a crafty mama and share it with all of you.  I would love your input on what you think and any ideas on how to do it better!

Project: Antique Armoire
BEFORE
As you can see I plan so well that I forgot to take a pic before I started on the first drawer...

I decided to refinish/repaint/redesign our armoire.  This armoire is over 30 years old and was given to us.  I was going to sell but then thought "hey I can make this look awesome" or at least try :)
I'm nervous it won't turn out and now I'll be publicly sharing my craft success or failure.  Good news is, is if it turns out I hope to get positive feedback, if it fails you'll all get a great What Not to Do.

UPDATE: 5/20/2013
  • I have the varnish sanded so far and 1/2 the drawers primed with the other 1/2 painted and ready to be distressed.  I'll post the end result with instructions soon! Or at least I hope....
